JEWELRY DISTRACTION THIEVES HIT ANTIQUE MALLS AND ANTIQUE STORES IN SIX STATES

Carlisle, PA – May 7, 2018

The two white male suspects pictured below are reported to have carried out at least 12 distraction thefts of jewelry in antique stores and antique malls in six states. The suspects use keys or pick or break locks to get into jewelry showcases. Thefts have been reported in IA, IL, MN, NY, PA and WI between 03/09/18 and 05/07/18. SUSPECT HANDS OVER ID, THEN RUNS WITH WATCH

Houston, TX – April 30, 2018

At 11:30 a.m. the suspect pictured below spent some time in a retail jewelry store looking at items, and then asked to see a specific high end watch. The sales associate obtained the suspect’s Texas ID, and allowed the suspect to try on the watch. After getting the watch, the suspect ran out the door to his late model Lexus which was missing front plates.


SUSPECT RUNS WITH DIAMOND CROSS PENDANT “AS A GIFT FOR MOM”

Commerce, CA – May 9, 2018

At 1:40 p.m. the Hispanic male suspect pictured below stated he was looking for a gift for his mother. As the sales associate was leading him to the chains and pendants, he saw a large gold bracelet and showed interest. However, the sales associate told him that it wasn’t a chain, and he was led to a different section and selected a diamond cross pendant. As soon as he had the pendant in his hand, he ran from the store. The suspect is reported to be in his late 20s to early 30s, 6’2”, tall and with a heavy build.
